TCSAAL will host the 2025-2026 State Cheer competition at Texas State University's Football Stadium.  In the event of inclement weather, the competition will be moved to the auxiliary gyms in Strahan Arena.

Spectators Door Fee: $5

Concessions will be available for purchase on-site.  NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK WILL BE ALLOWED.


We will offer competition in 2 age categories, 6-8 Grade (Junior High) and High School (Varsity) and in, multiple Competition levels. The novice and intermediate levels in the Performance Category of NCA Cheer for 6-8 Grade and we will offer the novice, intermediate and advanced levels for High School.

Team entries are $500 a team.

The School Team Cheer Competition will be 1 state tournament.

We will follow the National Cheerleaders Association rules for the Performance category. Please note we will follow Performance and not Game Day or Crowd Performance competition rules.

We are offering all competitions in small group (5-16 members) and large group (17-30 members).

Teams can be 5-30 people. We will not have a cap for number of males.

High School Check in and warm up: 9:00 AM

High School will begin at 10:00 AM

High School Awards to follow

Middle School Check in and Warm-up: 12:30 PM

Middle School will begin at 1:00 PM

WARM-UP PROCEDURES
We plan to have 4 zones at the competition. 

Zone 1: On Deck for warm up mats
Zone 2: Warm Up Mats
Zone 3: On Deck for Performance
Zone 4: Competition

Teams will rotate through the 4 zones in performance order with roughly 5 minutes per zone. 

High School Warm Up:
9:00 AM - 9:50 AM Open Warm Up
9:50 AM we will start with the Zone rotation with our first Performance starting on Zone 2 and our second performance on Zone 1 with the rotation starting. 

Middle School Warm Up:
12:30 - 12:50 PM (or earlier if HS awards are done) Open Warm Up
12:50 PM we will start with the Zone rotation with our first Performance starting on Zone 2 and our second performance on Zone 1 with the rotation starting. 

AUDIO:
During Open warm up at 9:00 am all high school teams should plan to test their audio setup. 
There is a 3.5 mm Aux cord for you to hook up to. YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN AUDIO DEVICE AND HAVE A PERSON AVAILABLE TO PLAY YOUR AUDIO
MS Teams should do audio tests after HS awards.


FANS / SPECTATORS

Fans and spectators are allowed to attend. There is a $5 door fee.
